New York DanceSport Foundation (hereinafter referred  to as the Studio)

STUDIO POLICIES

PROCEDURES

GROUP CLASSES:

Monthly group class tuition is for calendar months only - NO EXCEPTIONS.

Length of class is approximately 45 to 50 minutes except when there are 4 students or less, at which time the length of class will be reduced to 20 minutes.

Studio,  at its sole discretion, Reserves the right to cancel any class it deems necessary, due to acts of God including, but not limited to bad weather, holidays, illness, or any other circumstance that may compromise the safety and welfare of both students and teachers. 

No Refunds - no exceptions.

All students are expected to follow the teachers instructions and requests at all times.  Teacher, at his/her sole discretion,  may ask a student to leave the class.

To demonstrate respect to your fellow students, teachers and guests, all Students are asked to refrain from talking while the class is in session.  Remember that there is time to talk between classes.

Students who are late for class, must ask the teacher's permission before participating.  Students will be allowed to participate, however, they must wait until the teacher deems the appropriate time to "break into" the class.

 

PRIVATE LESSONS:

Private Lessons expire according to the following schedule from date of purchase:

5 lessons - expire 5 months from date of purchase.

10 lessons - expire 11 months from date of purchase.

NO- EXCEPTIONS.

Length of each private lesson is 50 to 55 minutes at the sole discretion of the teacher.

Private Lessons may be transferred if they cannot be used by the party who purchased the lessons,  with a $100 transfer fee.

If a student cancels his/her lesson less than 24 hours from their scheduled lesson time, he/or she will be charged for one private lesson. - No exceptions.

No refunds - no exceptions.

 

DRESS CODE & HYGIENE:

Students should wear clean, neat, comfortable clothing while participating in group classes or taking private lessons. 

Dance shoes are required for private lessons. 

Dance shoes or sneakers will be acceptable for group classes. 

In order to preserve the dignity and elegance of dance, absolutely no jeans will be allowed. 

Ladies who have long hair are asked to tie their hair neatly back so as to not injure their dance partners while participating in group classes.

Due to the social aspect of dancing, all students are asked to practice good & healthy hygiene. 

 

GOOD MANORS

Students are asked to practice good manors at our studio.  All students are asked to refrain from using inappropriate language at any time.

Students found promoting any other dance studios will not be tolerated and at the very least, will be asked to leave. 

Promotion of any other businesses, dances, or articles that does not interfere with the business of the Studio will be allowed, but must first be presented to the director of the Studio.
